Description
The Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech invites applications for a Collegiate Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Collegiate Professor at the Blacksburg, VA campus. This non-tenure-track role emphasizes innovative teaching, curriculum development, and instructional leadership, with opportunities for research and scholarship. Candidates with interests in AI/ML in or for Education are especially encouraged to apply.

Requirements
- An earned doctoral degree in computer science or a closely related field at the time of appointment.
- Ability to contribute to the department's teaching mission, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Record of research accomplishments, e.g., publications.
- Three separate written statements (up to 3 pages each):
(1) A statement of teaching and mentoring philosophy.
(2) A statement expressing the candidate’s ideas for supporting an educational environment consistent with the Virginia Tech Principles of Community (https://www.vt.edu/principles-of-community.html).
(3) A research statement.
